It's growning off of his LR. It's just coraline. Look at his FTS, his tank is covered with coraline. So it probably has no choice BUT to grow out.

How high do you keep your cal yote? Are you using a calcium reactor or a kalk?

Its hard,but pretty flexable.I've had it draw blood several times while trimming it out.

I try to keep it between 400 and 450.But I have to dose calcium every day to even stay close.Miss one dose,and it'll be 380 or below.
I do drip kalk every night to,and still cant keep up with it.A reactor is in the works though,but probably wont happen until mid spring or summer,to get one I know can handle the demand.
