Sorry for the crappy pics. These were all taken with my phone before our Nikon D5100 was purchased. I cant wait for new pictures after I learn how to use it.

Update! I ordered a kole tang and a yellow tang from my LFS a week or so ago. He has had them about a week now and they both look very healthy and are eating well. I should be picking them up this friday or saturday. I'm super excited...early birthday present to me!

Hows that screen top working out? Been kicking the idea around of building one.

They are working out great! I am really glad I did it. I have 2 cooling fans on a controller that blow across the top of the tank, and I dont have to worry about any jumpers. I work for a window company, so I have access to all of the screen framing and I purchased the netting from Lowes. I also made custom glass pieces with cutouts for my wires to replace the egg crate that I originally used, as shown in the picture. If you have any questions let me know.

Here is my first attempt with the D5100.

I picked up my early birthday presents today! A Kole Tang and a Yellow Tang. They appear as if they are best friends. They have been following each other around for the last hour or so. Everyone is playing very nicely! These pictures are under the blues only. :^::bounce::beer:

looks awesome! those tangs look great too for just being added

Yes, I agree. After acclimating them I turned only the moon leds on for about an hour and then just the actinics to help reduce stress. They look even better than they did at my LFS because they are under pc lights there. He held them both for about two weeks for me and they appear very healthy.

:D

I got some new corals! I picked up an Acan Frag and my first Zoa Frag. The acan has about 5 new heads already starting to grow!! Picked up the 2 for $50, thought that was a pretty good deal. :D
