Pictures of sump and plumbing coming up later on today.

Diamond goby has been a no-show since I put him in there. I'll get a picture of him and the flowerpot when it opens up later on too.

Those rocks Neal pick up looks awesome Biff.
The tank is coming along nicely.

You added a Goniopora so soon?Feed and protect, baby!Feed and protect!
Don't let any of the tentacles get under the sand, brown jelly can be brutal.

Oh and a really nice torch too!

WOW everything looks great biff! I'm happy for you, ya b!tch. LOL
You know I'm kidding.

I love you too, Booby!!

I should start calling you "Ricky Booby" -- from Talladega Nights, with the French accent, LOL.

Yeah Freak, I was wary about adding the goni so soon...Hehehe, a week into my tank being set up ;). But it was super cheap and looked good. And Neal was like, "I want that one! I want that one!" We'll see how it goes.

There is still no ammonia or nitrites in my tank, so I think I was able to successfully avoid a new cycle!!! I can't wait to get the rest of the rocks in there so I can move my dining room table back into the dining room and start adding more corals.

With every thing you already got,it still looks empty. But its looking great too.
You going to a hellva reef.
Good luck with with it.

PS
Want some more kenyas to fill in with?

Oh it looks empty now... But remember I have 200 lbs of rock sitting in trash cans in my dining room waiting to be placed in their new home! I'm in negotiation right now to get a crapload of cheap frags. I'm going to be the "guinea pig" for an aquacultured coral company that has never shipped corals before, but wants to expand their business. I'll get everything 50% off and free shipping in exchange for taking pictures of everything and keeping track of the conditions in which they arrive in from the different shipping companies. Hopefully this will happen in a couple months or so.

AWESOME.
Let me know how that goes.I might want to order some SPS from em.

You sure you aint using your looks to get these great deals?

Okay, for all you people that get excited about pictures of sumps and plumbing... well, first off I don't understand your attitude. "F*ck those coral and fish pictures, I want to see some PVC!!!" But here they are anyways! I am to please.

Booo hissssss! My flowerpot opened up. BRING ON THE PVC DAMMIT!!!

Top of the tank. Eggcrate, of course!

Back of the tank. PVC splits in a T to both sides of the aquarium.

Full sump picture.

Equipment section of the sump. All I have now is an Aqua C Remora Pro, inside the sump. This will do until I upgrade skimmers. No heaters!!!
090907010.jpg

Refugium and return pump section (Eheim 1200). The refugium consists of a 6" to 8" sand bed, chaetomorpha, some hitchhiking caulerpa, and live rock rubble. The water level is higher than the baffles right now because I added some more live rock to the tank today.
090907011.jpg

Plumbing from the return pump and from the overflow on the opposite side of the tank.
090907012.jpg

Plumbing from both overflows. Where the water comes out is completely submerged to minimize noise.

BTW, Neal gets credit for all the plumbing. I told him what I wanted it to look like, and he put it all together. Yay Neal!
