you can always call up a local welder or metal smith. I know there are about 4 or 5 with in distance. They all have portable mig and tig welders and could easily cut off the brace and put in a y brace. Shouldn't cost much more than parts and labor for maybe 30mins of work... as for the foam, to get it out can you just put some shims in underthe tank on one side and use a soft mallet and pound them in and get a little clearence, cut the foam where the shims are not, remove, place shims in the new open space, remove old shims and remove foam underneath, remove new shims, place tank back down, repeat on all sides untill no foam, or replaced with new foam?
