Biff Quick do the lights now...
1 the Glue will act as a barrier against the heat of the bulbs
2 the oil off your hands will not transfer to the bulb causing premature Bulb failure!

We changed the lightbulbs out last night. Great success! Especially compared to last time, when we managed to break 2 of the 4 new bulbs in the process. But like I said, those were cheapo and a bad brand. Maybe I'll get around to a little scraping action today.

I think I'm definitely going to do the shroom/ricordea only tank idea. My shrooms and ricordeas are looking great and have multiplied a lot, and my other corals are just looking so-so. A shroom/ricordea only tank is a tank that I can totally neglect and still have it look good.

Biff when youre done scraping you should do a large water change to get those free floating coraline bits out of the water column lest they repopulate even more. Looks GREAT you've almost got it licked dont quit now!
