Wow, your tank looks great, you all make me jealous.
I have to ask about those scratches, are they on outside of the tank or inside? If the majority of the hazing and scratching is on the outside, you might want to try quadruple grade #0000 steel wool to sort of 'sand' them out. Just wash the area first with a vinegar/water mix in a spray bottle, using a microfiber cloth (they don't smear or streak) and make sure it's completely DRY before trying the steel wool. #0000 grade is extremely soft, it should not scratch your tank in any way. Just to be safe though, try it on a inconspicuous part of your tank, perhaps in one of the corners or maybe one of the side panels. Try it on a haze/scratched portion.
If you really want to make a quick comparision, get some blue painters tape and tape off a rectangle, big enough to seperate it into halves with another strip of tape. Simply scrub one half in circular motions with the steel wool. If you have a PC light sitting around, flourescent light works real well in highlighting imperfections on the surface, you can use it to check your work, to determine wether you really want to sand the entire surface of the tank inch by inch or not.
Sorry to go on for a bit there, but maybe it's worth a shot.
