Biffy Finally Gets a Build Thread!

Tangent should love the lancefish.

Biff,Just what the hell is the difference between frozen silversides and frozen lancefish?Besides the lancefish being longer and skinner? Both are just a dang frozen minner.

yeah. I tried my fox coral on the sand bed like to told me to and it didn't ever open up. I moved it midway up the tank and it started to open a bit more. If it doesn't improve, I am gonna call it a dud and dump it back on my LFS.

Thanks Yote. Doc, I've never heard of keeping a fox on the sandbed. I've always seen them on the rocks. They don't like a lot of light or flow, are you keeping it in a sheltered area? The lancefish aren't as big as silversides. I guess it's the size of silversides that freaks me out. I'm still not touching those things with my hands.

Ah, I mis-read your post and thought you left yours on the sandbed, but I guess I was mistaken. FYI, they don't like it there. I have it nestled in a hidden spot on the edge of the lights, hoping it will be happy there. It is such a cool tan / bluish color when it does decide to open.

I just dosed calcium, so my tank is all cloudy. No pics for tonight :(. But I can promise you, they are even PRETTIER than Freak's!!

I do think that I'm down to three anthias though. The one dispar that survived the shipping hasn't come out at all today. It was the smallest of the four of them, and it was the one that was spending a lot of time at the surface. Coincidentally, I came home from work today to the biggest mess of dog diarrhea I've ever seen. I am wondering if perhaps the little dispar decided to go tile surfing and Bixler ate it, which upset his tummy.

Even though the fish have a 15-day guarantee, I won't be able to get my money back for the missing guy because I WOULD HAVE TO FIND, PRESERVE AND MAIL BACK HIS STUPID BODY. Going on a hunt for a tiny orange fish in 500 lbs of rock and 300 gallons of water is so not worth it. And those bastards know it.

That can't be prettier if they are half way digested mess.

I haven't seen the Evansi today,if it don't come out to eat....its a gonna here soon,if its not dead already. All the rest are eating voraciously. At least the lyretails are doing good right?

Yep,all the dispars, lyretails and blenny except the evansi.Doc isn't on here tonight.I wanted to know what other anthias are considered easy.I want more of them.Do you know?

bicolor are the easiest to keep. Get a few of those too. You already have a great mix, tho. I am really impressed with your tank. Biff I mean no disrespect to your thread, but I have not seen FTS of your tank and Reef's made me tear up a bit. I am sure I will be amazed with your tank when I see pics
