Yotes 125

ITS LOOKING GOOD YOTE!!! I cant belive how much more rock you need!!! GOOD LUCK BRO !!!!
happy holidays!!

Oh there'll be a lot more rock added. The trick will be picking the pieces that fit just right.

No the real trick is explaining to the wife way you need more rock and how it's worth it.LOL Good luck

Looking good Yote.
Not bad for a "Certified Redneck" from Chattanooga.

Hey, I was up in Chattanooga for Spring Break.
My wife's family lives there. I went to a place called Fifth Day Creations.
What a nice little shop.
I talked to the owner a bit, I guess he is from Florida originally. They had some corals there that you couldn't even begin to get down here!!! (when all the nice corals come in, they go VERY QUICKLY down here)!!

Anyhow, looking good. Can't wait to see the progress.

Next time your up this, let me know. We'll meet up and I'll show you another good store.Plus give you a guided tour.
Donny's got a good store at Fifth Day,and moves some great looking corals.

Yote just something that popped into my head, but make sure you cover the braces with tape or something to block UV rays, a local guy has a one year old perfecto tank and didnt do this and had the plastic rip and allow the front pane to bow and now needs to replace the entire top plastic. Just a freak accident that can be prevented.

I've thought about that Ryan.Halides put out a lot of heat, and the black plastic tends to get pretty warm.So that couls also be a pro of staying with T-5s.I got a feeling that picking new lights is going to cause me a few sleepless nights.

And here my parameters after 24 hours.
Ammonia-0
Nitrite-0
Nitrate-0
Phos-0
Calc-520
alk-14DKH
PH-8.41
This is with the SeaChem Reef salt.

Yote, this is so cool! your new tank is awesome. I can't wait to see it develop. It breaks my heart that you pulled your 75 apart though. Still, LOVE your new set-up. Congratulations!

Catherine

Looking good Yote! You're making me worried though, I am looking to move up to a 120 and all I can say is damn I need to start ordering or making rock now!

I wish I could have kept the 75 Catherine. It was going smooth and the corals was growing good. But I just didnt have room for both. But now I can add A LOT more corals:D

Simpleman,If the tanks bigger, your gonne need more rock:mrgreen:
I never dreamed just how much a difference 2ft would make.The 75 was full.The 125 looks empty.

Awww man I missed all this. I been working like crazy lately. It looks good. I know everyone has said it but that's crazy how much of a difference that bigger tank is. It really does look half full of rock. I'm so excited for you though!

Im not sure if you metioned it already or not, but what will become of your old tank?

Well,Right now I'm trying to work out a trade for a 72 inch set of Outer Orbits with 3X250 watt HQIs and 8X 39watt T-5s plus moon lights. If that dont work out,I'll sale it and put the money toward new lights.

I forgot just how much I hate diatoms:grumble: But my Queen Conch is loving em.
Just cant wait for the cyano and hair stages to return either.
