Update on my build

Well, slow and steady wins the race right? If thats true then I will win for sure! My custom stand is almost done. I screwed up a measurement and had to order another sheet of cabimet grade plywood. I am just waiting for it now.

I ordered 50 pounds of dry rock and 40 pounds of dry sand from reefrocks.com and its here at last. The rock is really porous and I had a few of the base pieces cut flat on the bottom for stability. I cant wait to get it all in the tank!

I had a window break some time ago so I took the pieces to the hardware store(it was a large window) and had my baffles cut out of it. 3 panels will be 9 inches by 12 and 1 is 8 by 12. All these cut only cost me $2. I have my silicone so its time to build the sump. I got a 700 gph pump off of ebay for $27. Its an Oddysea and hopefully will work nicely with the 600 gph overflow.

I guess as soon as the sump is done plumbing parts are going to be next. When I get the stand done I will post a couple of pics of it.
