I've never heard that, actually. I have heard they can become aggressive if there are too many, though. I was just thinking a pair of peps and maybe two skunks, but probably one.

seen some of them in my lfs last week but browny black.as i aint got any algae could they be fed sheets of seaweed?

Kinda. The shells don't have those spikes, so in a way, yes, but they're bodies are roughly the same.
