Fast's 120

Just read your thread you have really nice corals and fish love the aquascaping !!! how long have you had that blue sponge for is it hard to take care ?

Thank you. That sponge I have had for about 2 years I guess. He is quite a bit smaller now, but not hard to take care of at all.

Do you have to feed it with anything , like adding an additive to your aquarium, or target feed , sorry might be a dumb question.

No idea, just shrunk by about 50%. He is still alive, and I have a few pieces that broke off that I have wedged in rock and are alive as well.

Nextreef MR1 Reactor with Warner Marine Bio pellets driven by a Maxijet 1200

I'm thinking about getting one of these reactors to run GFO and carbon but I'm not sure what pump to get. I want something nice like eheim because I want to keep noise as low as possible.

Would this work?
Eheim Compact Pump -- 160 GPH

I have a maxi-jet 900 on my BRS reactor and the valve is half way closed.

I'd go with something at least twice that. However you can't run both medias in the same reactor at the same time.

Yes, but probably better off with a smaller Reactor. The MR1 id freaking huge.

Yah I guess it would be kinda an overkill. What do you suggest? I'm not very happy with the BRS reactor because I'm using granular GFO and it doesn't really tumble at all in the back.

Use a Phos-Reactor, or a Two Little Fishies 150. That is what I used when I ran GFO, and Carbon on this tank.

The thing is, all the cheaper reactors don't have very good reviews so I'll still go for the next reef one.

Also, what do you use for a flow valve?

Thanks. :D
