Let me know what you want to see and I'll get it up for you.

Alright, here we go:

Sump is basic, Skimmer is an ATI Bubble Master 200, return pumps are dual Mag 9.5's, and a 1/4 HP chiller in the right hand corner of the cabinet

And last is a Neptune systems Apex with 2 EB8's running wirelessly to my computer, and controlled from my cell phone

awesome! what is the purpose of the apex controller? i have heard lots about them but havent done much research on them.

It is just that, a controller. Basically, anything it runs from lights to pumps, or any equipment is monitored and controlled either by you pre setting it, or manually VIA head unit, computer or your cell phone.

so it is hooked up to those outlets or powerstrips and controls what turns on and off? does it control power heads to?

Anything you have plugged into the EB8 is controllable through the Apex. So you can program your lights to turn on and off at set times, fans to come on at set temps and so on. The biggest difference between the Apex and the Reef Keeper that I saw was that I can control it from my phone. So if things get crazy like a temp spike while I am away from home, I can remotely shut off the Metal Halides, turn on the chiller and fans instead of waiting for the controller to do it at a specific time.

Ahh, i will have LED's so i doubt i will have a problem with temp spikes. My equipment list will be as followed: 54 HO LED's, protein skimmer rated for 150g, dual brs gfo & carbon reactor (not 100% sure on that one yet), reef octopus bio pellet reactor, 2x maxijet 1200's with mods that will soon be replaced, not sure on a replacement yet, and a my return is a mag 7. Im thinking about rebuilding my tank without actually rebuilding it completely. Just changing some equipment out, upgrading my sump to 30g's, replacing my DT with a new tank as i dont trust the silicone on this one; its flaking off when i clean the glass. with that being said i may not need the apex controller. I showed the lady your thread and told her "thats what im aiming for" she gave me the approval to change some things out so im looking forward to it.

Home from Southern California at 3:30 this morning. Brought back a bunch of loot from Reef A Palooza, as well as met Marines Wife and her family.

I ended up with 5 Acans, 2 Chalices, some zoas, a Portel, and won a raffle of Aquvitro products. Pics up later on when the lights come on.
