Brittany's teeny tiny reef!

Have you changed your carbon recently? Your tank is looking a lot clearer since you first started having this problem. If you have a lot of crud in your water that is possibly being leached from the rock like smitty said, your activated carbon may not be working anymore. I would maybe do another water change and add a fresh bag of carbon and see if it helps some.

Yea the carbon is aboit a week old. I'm going to do another four gallon water change tomorrow and I have an extra bag of carbon. I'll switch it out with the old one. I'm hoping this is the final water change. Hopefully say GOODBYE to the cloudy water! Lol

I did another water change today. Before the water change it was about 90% clear. I really think this water change will make it 100% clear. I also changed the carbon. My hubby went to the lfs for food and he picked me out some cherry bomb zoas. He knew I had my eye on them and wanted to surprise me :) they were closed before I left for work. Pictures to come after work tonight!

Aww how sweet of him! Glad to hear you have the upper hand on the cloudy water! Can't wait to see the pics!

Looks amazing!!!!! I'm going to set up a 30g also and basing it on you 10 :)))) I wish my hubby would buy me coral....he kinda just stays out of my way at saltwater places ;)

That's awesome! I can't wait to see it! He's been hearing me talk about those zoas for a week now lol. I wanted to wait till fish Friday so I could get 20% off on them and he went and got them for me. The were like 30 bucks and he got them for $22. Hey! The are cherry bombs, which means they are pink! There's only a few polyps now but when they grow out some more ill frag some for ya! For the breast cancer theme.

I promised pics so here they are! The tank is pretty clear. Guess I just needed a handful of water changes.

I just have two turbos, two nass snails and one scarlet hermit. I'm not really a fan of hermits at all. Do you think I should add more snails? I want to get some shrimp also but idk if they count as part of the cuc.

Thanks guys! I really like them a lot and I'm so happy the tank is clear!

Look at the quick crews on reefcleaners.org. They ship free with 2 day shipping and honestly he will send you about 40 more snails then you order. I ordered a 10 gallon hex crew a few months ago for my 29 and it says like 12 dwarf cerith snails. He sent me over 150 of them. Plus like 2-3 extra of the others just incase of any fatalities. I lost like 10 total snails and all were dwarf ceriths. For around 20 bucks you get alot for your money. That was my experience, but shipping may not be for you and I completely understand if it isnt'.

Thanks guys! I'm not to hip to the shipping chain. But thanks for the info. Maybe I can pass it along to someone sometime. I keep it in mind.

Patience is not one of my virtues lol but one of the good things about this hobby is it forces me to be patient.

Maybe ill get a couple tiny hermits. I don't want them knocking things over. And more snails.

Anywaysss, while feeding the tank today my monster bristle worms came out to eat! Idk where they came from. Either the live rock I got or my live sand from the 29g. I got some shots of them. People think they are gross and creepy but I kinda like them. They look like fuzzy worms lol
