Oh no he may get your cromis sick. I would think that putting him in a small tank would stress him out more. Fatten that fish up. He does look pretty handsome.

Guess I look at QT a little different.This is just MO.But I think that sticking a fish in a small ,almost bare tank is pretty dang stressful.And since stress is what brings diseases on,I never QT my fish.
Going on 2 years and soon to be 4 tank upgrades,and can honestly say that I've never had ick in my tanks.And only had one unexplaned death,which was a yellow tang.

I also do not quarantine my fish. The only fish of mine to have ich is Tangent the Trigger, who gets a spot every now and then. I generally have pretty big fish, and quarantining them in a tiny tank for weeks would probably kill them.

agreed, and seeing as all I have are 4 chromis.....I didn't see the point. Sorry if I was crusty this morning, it was just kinda raining on my parade

And if your chromis haven't been quarantined, it's pointless to quarantine any future fish. Your chromis will be carrying ich anyways, and it will have been in your tank from the beginning.

Well, I went and picked up my Dendrophyllia yesterday, all I can say is wow! Awesome coral, wickid colours and not too common! Plopped him in and he was opened right up by this morning. About 14 heads. I also picked up a black/while occelaris to replace the lost one. I just put the tang in a few days ago, so I thought i'd play it safe and put him in the 46 for awhile. Anyways, heres the pics as always....

You need one of those Kent Sea Squirts which is basically a long thin-extendable baster.

I'm not about to stick my hands in the water to feed my poor man's dendros,sun corals that is.
