Biffy Finally Gets a Build Thread!

and how can you tell your 2 favorite men on LR we suck. I know you just got caught up in an emotional moment there and didn't really mean it

um...timeliness: 6. Sincerity: 4 Sarcasm: 10. Let's see....NOT. If only you had left out the part about your thread being better than ours...and added the part about our rock hard 6-pack abs....it probably would have been better. I care enough to give you another try tho...

Apology Attempt #2:

Dear Dr. Marco and Redline,
I sincerely wish to ask, nay, beg for your forgiveness regarding my recent lapse regarding the insulting comments concerning the lameness of the two of you. Please allow me to explain what I believe the series of events were that prompted such an outrageous explosion of emotions. The truth is, I was away from the forums for the night, and I missed you two so much while I was out. I could not stop thinking about Dr. Marco and Redline. My mind was completely consumed all night long. When I returned and saw that you two had continued posting as usual and obviously hadn't missed me to the same magnitude, I became resentful, and the resentment turned to anger.

Unfortunately, instead of rightfully directing my anger inwards (as I was the one who chose to leave the house for the evening, after all), I mistakenly lashed out against you two, the two men whom without, my life would be sorely lacking. After much self reflection, I've come to the conclusion that, because of you two, I will never be completely happy in a relationship. Why, you may ask? Because after befriending two men of such incomparable and impeccable status, anyone else simply does not compare. This not only goes for your extreme levels of intelligence, wit and humor, but also your amazing physiques and mesmerizing good looks. The truth is, every time I see or speak to a member of the opposite sex, the comparisons to Dr. Marco and Redline automatically take shape in my head. And, frankly, no one even comes close to comparing.

I would like to thank you two for bringing so much joy to my life. I hope that I have been able to amply repay the favor by bringing so much algae to your tanks. Although this action seems, at first glance, like a drop in the bucket compared to all that you two have done for me, I know that it will be the gift that will keep on giving over time. Most sincerely, and with much love, respect and adoration, Biffy.

I like that one. That works for me. I am even willing to ignore the algae comment and still consider that a stunning apology (especially since I have no algae problems in any of my tanks). Redline, I think she just expressed her true feelings for us. I vote OK. Man, I have been waiting a while to hear that, Biff. You made me blush a bit even.

Here are some new additions I got today.

A sailfin tang in the bag:

A purple tilefish, which is officially the most expensive fish in my tank. Super hard to find, amazing colors, about 6 inches long. Here it is in the bag:

And here is what they REALLY look like:

PLEASE DON'T JUMP, PLEASE DON'T JUMP!

And today, I also settled on what my 'centerpiece' fish is going to be. I had my LFS order me a pink tail trigger. Very risky. But very beautiful. If I can pull it off, it will be so worth it. It should be here Tuesday (fingers crossed)!!

Here is Alvin the alveopora opened up and looking happier:

And here are some pics of the pair of dartfish I got earlier this week. These are super cool fish, really interesting and personable. Hard to find in stores, so I'd recommend them if you see them at your LFS:

Sorry for the crappy photo quality. But I was in a big hurry and only had a minute to take them.

THe tilefish looks awesome, also the sailfin is sweet too, are they fairly territorial? I heard you should add them as the last of the tang additions to the tank, that true?

I got both new fish into the tank. The sailfin is skating around like it owns the place, and so far, is getting along fine with the other tangs.

The stupid tilefish started his jumping immediately. I didn't know if I'd be able to get it out of the bag. Finally, I got him in the tank and quickly put the eggcrate back on, and he darted behind a rock. The LFS had him for three weeks, and he just now came out from their rocks, so my LFS guy told me not to expect to see him for a couple weeks, as they are very shy fish at first.

Congratulations on your new fishies!
I like the tilefish, nice color, what makes them so hard to keep?
Your dartfish doesn't seem shy with all the other fish in your tank. Are they less timid then say other dartfish like the Red firefish and the purple firefish?
The sailfin is sweet,I can't wait to get me some damn tangs too!I just ordered a Desjardini and a Purple before my little mishap.

I don't know what makes tilefish so hard to keep... I read that they have a hard time acclimating, and it can be a real challenge to get them to eat. And they looooove to jump!

The scissortails aren't shy AT ALL. They are always out and about. They make a lovely couple (they are named Bernard and Bianca, after The Rescuers).

The sailfin is getting chased around a lot by the yellow tang... Two Zebrasomas together... Hopefully they'll sort things out before anyone gets hurt. The yellow tang is significantly larger than the sailfin.

I might have to, Fishbait. The tilefish is pretty big -- at least 6 inches long. And he's a fatty. But there is more than enough space for him to jump out near the back where I have the loclines coming into the tank, and I had to cut the eggcrate to go around the loclines. I already have lost $100 + in jumping stupid retarded diamond gobies. I'd hate to lose this fish to the same fate!
