Biffy Finally Gets a Build Thread!

Standard size eggcrate. I really thought this one would be fine, since he made himself a burrow under a rock and seemed to be settling in quite well. I don't know what would be startling him, I watched everyone for several hours when I first put him in the tank (since he jumped out once and luckily I caught him right away), and no one else was bothering him.

The LFS gave me the second goby for half price since the first one died. I wonder if a new one will be half price of the half price??? :). No way am I getting another one. Waste of money fish. I'll find something else to mix up my sand.

I'm jealous about that. but I did put a ball valve on the overflow pipe so if I'm home it will be ok thankfully I have tile floors :)

sorry to hear about your loss. I killed two in three days, so you have me beat. Mine did leap out to enjoy some carpet as well. Try a dragon goby. They are not as pretty, but sift like crazy. I think they are also called brown-spotted gobies. They get about 6 inches in length and are sifting machines. Best of luck.

Temps hit 85.9 in my tank today. Bad news! I went out and bought some clip-on fans, so we'll see if that does any good. I'm also going to cut back on the photoperiod. I'm only going to buy a chiller as a last resort!

I got a baby frogspawn today. Very green!!!

I also got a new fish to make up for those stupid diamond gobies:

Yep, it's a clown tang. And that's my old yellow tang next to it. Pretty big size difference. Not for long! What a pretty fish. The picture doesn't do it justice, plus my glass was really dirty and I was too lazy to clean it off before I took a picture.

I also added some more live rock to the main tank today. It was smelling fine, so I think the couple pieces I added were pretty much cured. And I did a water change in the trash cans of the remaining live rock that is still curing. That's it for now, folks!
