are you using a skimmer? I'm thinking getting one but I don't know if I should or witch one to get or how it works? Lmfao I also have a 29
 
I'm using the taam Rio nano skimmer. It's only rated up to a 20g but it was all I could afford at the time. It's always pulling nasty stuff out so it must do it's a job. It was about $50 at my lfs but its online for around 35. Good little skimmer.
 
It takes organic compounds out of the water before they can convert into ammonia and so forth. I believe that's what it does. Idk I just know its good for your tank. Lol and its good for chemical warfare between corals.
 
Quick question. Those little sprouts at the base...will those turn into big branches to form a colony?
