The blenny is by far my favorite to see new things and watch. He finds the craziest places to perch. He is a lot of fun! I'm glad we have him for sure

just thought that I would throw up a recent pic. Here is one i took yesterday. Quality not great on this one, however I thought it was a really fun pic. lots going on. including my urchin making a dent in my algae farm!

FTS. takes a lot to humble myself and post yet another current fts with my tank looking terrible. but it will make things all that better when I get to post an algae free FTS.

The algae looks like it is getting thinnner to me. With such a large poo machine it will be a battle.

Well when I moved my tank to my new house last month I did make some changes and did away with the bioballs and added liverock in the sump. I'm hoping that that helps with the battle aswell.

foxface and some hermit crabs, sallylight foot crabs, a few emeralds and raise alkalinity a little high will take care of it. Someone told me raising alkalinity a little high will burn out algae but a phosreactor half full of gfo(pellets) will make a huge dent also.

my valmingi eats bubble algae. One of the only tangs known to eat it.
I was told raising the mag levels works really well. RyanG and I were going to try that with out tanks. not sure if I have heard of the alkalinity.

Don't be so hard on yourself. You do have some algae, but it's that that bad. I've seen much worse.
If you try it, you MUST use Kent Tech-M. There is some kind of impurity in it and at high levels it is that impurity that kills off the aglae. There are lots of threads on this in RC and Randy Holmes-Farley said he doesn't know what the impurity is that causes the reaction. None of the other mag supplements have whatever that impurity is.
