There is nothing wrong with either of the reactors I mentioned earlier, I have one, and I have a buddy that has one running that same Seachem stuff you are looking at.

Any way, this is the ball valve on mine right now:

Keep in mind, the bigger the reactor, the bigger the pump. I am running a Rio 800 on mine and the valve is open full. I was running a Maxi-Jet 1200 and had to close the valve off some before.

Picked up a pair of Black Ice clown fish yesterday to add to my big tank. Just have to get the current Saddleback clown out. Until then, these 2 little babies are hanging in one of the frag tanks.

Nope, it is black sand, not crushed coral.
