Well this sucks, I have diatoms everywhere an some sort of green algae showing up

It will pass. Just keep up with your water changes.

If you don't have any ammonia or nitrites, then you can do a water change.

If you do have ammonia and nitrites, then doing a water change will make them last longer.

Sounds like your tank is coming along. Diatoms and green algae are just part of the natural cycle for new tanks.

You aint seen nothing yet:D
The first year with the new tank is usually the worst for the algae.The system has to mature enough to handle excess nutrients before it can effectively combat algae.
