I am looking for suggestions on my 55g tank. Currently there is 1 small clown fish and a lot of snails and crabs and a couple anenomes (the easy ones that do not require alot of light). My son is thinking that he would like to have fish that have babies. I guess it wouldn't have to be just fish tho. Anything we could put in there that would reproduce I think he would like.

Well, anemones are not generally low light. So if the anemone is moving and not good in color, take them out.
You could get a flame angel, they are excellent fish but have a 50/50. I love the lawnmower blennies, as long as the tank isnt young because they like to graze all day. Purple firefish are great as well.
With fish that breed, you could get two clownfish which are the most common breeders but it can take years for them to pair up and mate. And when they did, the babies would just be eaten by other fish. So no point to that.

ditto with Josh on the reproduction. Royal Gramma would be a good choice too. I have had 3 that are now three years old.

I'd suggest a few chromis's also, they're fun to watch...and as far as reproducing, the black and white cardinals seem to breed easily in captivity.
