Some sort of worm?

    This thing has been on my hammer for a while and I just thought it was going to sprout but now it's got me wondering. Any ideas?

    looks like a fan worm to me..or spiral worm.. doesn`t look harmful to me...

    looks like a vermetid snail to me. harmless to the tank but sharp so watch your fingers.

    +1 salty.

    They use webbing to catch food. If it starts to bother the hammer you can cover it with super glue to get rid of it.
