The secret is to keep the temp stable, do your routine water changes, and keep your hands out of the tank.

my temp is 78 all the time and i do a water change at least once a week but just within the months i my nitrates have gone to 0 and have stayed there so that makes me happy and i re did my rocks friday witch hasreally helped with the flow

Nope...I don't add anything. I use reef crystals salt mix, which has high levels of alk, cal, and mag.
