Sick Clown

Hello,

this morning 1 of my clowns started to act weird but laying sideways and generally goofing around. However looking closely it looks like its tail is missing and its all red.

My damsel isnt in the tank so i cant put blame on it.

heres a picture:

Is he the only fish in the tank? Do you have any crabs or other aggressive inverts? It looks like his tail was damaged, but I'm no expert.

It died about an hour ago. I have another clown in the tank and cleaner shrimp.

I would place my money on the other clown. Have you ever seen them fighting? It isnt uncommon for clowns to hurt each other when trying to gain dominance over the other one.

Yup. I concur! Clowns can be right buttholes when they want to!

Oh no! You could also have a evil hitchhiking crab who took a go at him during the night

I didnt see my two clowns fight , they stayed together all the time :/

I have fully cured rock in my tank and havent seen any hitchhikers in my tank

I put the blame on my other clownfish.

Shall I wait until the clown I have is bigger before adding a smaller clown?

That will take months to years, i would just add a much bigger one now
