plastic laminate tank experiment

JMO,But I'd go with 2 corner overflows. But instead of building an actual overflow box,I think I would drill the back and turn a 1" 90* up for the drains.
I think that would give more room for aquascaping.

That's how my tank started (with just pipes) but after my second flood I changed it. I had snails crawl in the pipe and the display poured onto the floor. If you choose to just use pipes, make sure that nothing in the tank can fit into them.

here's what i came up with fellas.

Looks great.Cant wait to see it wet and full of life.

hi folks. just a quick update. bulkheads are in along with 10gal of water. so far so good. lets keep our fingers crossed. i'll post some pics later on.

i used a 1" for my drain and two 3/4" returns. i may reduce the returns to 1/2" depending on what kind of flow i get out of the 3/4". i failed to realize that i also needed a stand fro this tank (DUH!) so i'm going to start constructing that on monday. i'll post pics of that too.:frustrat:

My returns come off the pump 1" the reduce to 3/4" right before the loc-lines.Seems to do pretty good like that.

hi Yote. do you order your locklines on line? i have a Grainger store close to my house but the seem kind of pricey.
