Pinned thread suggestion

Can someone write up and pin a thread in this forum that lists all the different water tests you would do and the ideal ranges each should be in as a quick reference? (Or is there one somewhere already?) :D

Example for a reef tank:

• Salinity = 2.5 / 33ppt ?
• Nitrates = 0
• Nitrites = 0
• Ammonia = 0-0.1
• pH = 8.3
• Phosphates = ?
• Calcium = ?
• Iron = ?
• KH = ?
• GH = ?

Maybe one for a fish only tank and one for a seahorse tank? I don't know how different they all are, if at all. I know some tests don't matter in fish only tanks.

I would say not really. Only because most of that is common knowledge obtained by researching the hobby.

Also if you are thinking about seahorses you need to make sure you research them thoroughly. They really arent a great beginner fish and they require a bigger commitment than your standard setup.

I'm not looking to get seahorses, just thought it would have been useful for others that are. No worries. Google is my friend. Thanks.
