New tank - identification needed

hi everyone,

My second tank build which I've just started on and needed some answers. I have a 130l cube that I've set up with live sand and dry rock. My cycle is underway itself with no assistance as you can see from my parameters in the picture. I have a couple questions. Although the cycle is under way, would introducing some raw matter in the form of a shrimp or something else give the tank a stronger cycle, if there is such a thing or is it all the same?

Also, I have encountered some brown spots occurring quite fast over my live sand not long before the Rock was introduced. Should note that there is none on the rock as of yet. I thought these to be diatoms which are normal at the end of a cycle but I am not near the end, clearly. Any ideas?
