Missing clown fish

Has anyone had a clown fish just come up totally missing? I have had the two clown fish for about 2.5 weeks now and had no issues. I just got home and one of them seems to be missing. I have a basslet and a cardinal in the same tank and not seen any aggression issues between any of the fish. Any thoughs?

Found clown dead on the back of the tank. Didn't know clowns were jumpers.

Every fish can be a potential jumper. just some more than others. All depends upon the personality really.

I'm sorry to hear that. :( I had a clown jump to its death once. I found it crispy on my desk at work. It's not common that they jump, but when startled, any fish can take a leap out of the tank. It's their instinct to jet off suddenly if they feel endangered, so if they happen to jet off in the upward direction, they may end up out of the water.

Glad i read this thread, just reinstalled my cover as I just added some new tankmates for my clowns.

My clown swam into a submersible water pump and died. My tank is like 90% covered, so never had a jumping problem.
