hi just bought a metal halide light with x2 bulbs and x4 t5 actinic blue fitting the unit last might and well impressed !!!!! do u think i should move my corals deeper in the tank to let them get used to the new light or will they be ok !!!!!!!!

You need to acclimate your corals to the new light. I like to gradually increase the time the lights are on. Over the period of a month or so. IMO, it is easier than moving corals around

thanks the only reason i dont mind moving them is my friend just gave me them yesterday and he had them under high powered t5,s and i have placed corals mid water and all looking good i was given a massive metalic orange staghorn acro and a green slimer and a birds nest coral and a plate coral so i have gave them loads of water movement and some of my old corals on bottom of tank that were looking a bid poor have all seemed to have had a new lease of life and all new corals have polyop extension but will keep eye for any changes !!!!!
