I have centipedes

I have 5 lil things that look like centipedes. They are red and black in color and have many lil legs/feet. Are these harmful and if so how to get rid of them? I will try and post a pic of one as soon as they stay out long enough.

It a fire worm it cleans and eat about to die fish or thing or sometime eat fish when feels like it

so should i get rid of them??? all i have in this tank is a breeding pair of clown fish. And some tube worms..

Those are bristleworms. They're perfectly harmless.

its half red and black. feet look kinda whitish

no that is a bristle worm, actual fire worms are extremely rare in the hobby. They also only eat dead and dying things. They are great member of your CUC

so according to Alex and google it does look like a bristle worm. But i got mixed reviews if they r good or bad.. dunno what to do. i just recently found a serpeant starfish and Im worried they will eat it.

People tend to freak out because they look creepy and people mis-identify them as fire worms, so they have a bad, undeserved reputation.
