I would take the frag out of the tank and put it in a bucket to remove the bubble algea. That way if it does pop, the spores will be in the bucket and not the DT. Then rinse the frag off in another bucket of clean salt water.

bj you and i thought the same thing.

and good thing i did that because it didnt take much to make it pop. haha

Yep, bubble algae. It's a common pest algae. Emerald crabs will usually eat it in case you see more pop up in your tank.

I agree with Bj's idea...chances are its going to pop in the tank and spread, so I'll remove it in another bucket or something.

oh yes that bubble alage can become a huge problem. just grab hold of it and rock it back and forth until it comes loose you could use some tweezers to grab the base of it.

i though about trying to get one but i dont know if i want to spend that money. get a aussi duncan david

I have a nice colony and a frag of those already. I do love those too. Don't understand why Dendros are so expensive. I think the price of them will come down just like the price did with Dendros.

Turn off flow when you remove it and have someone else hold a baster right near to suck up any spores that get loose or in case the bubble burst.
