You could also run your MH at a time when your not at home and then run your "colored" lights only at the main time you view your tank. My MH lights come on during the day but shut off earlier in the evening leaving just the actinic lights on.

yea, currently my T5s come on at 10, then MHalide at 11 then halide shuts off at 7 and T5 at 8, might just fiddle with the times a bit, but ends up working well, cause im always home about 6-7
