Doc's Shark Tank

Glad that the move to the 203g. went smoothly and that there were no leaks in the 203g.I hope your shark enjoys its new 203g. home.

Can't wait to see the 203g when the water clears, good luck!

hahaha! I am willing to admit it is no 220. But it is a 210. You may need to take a few minutes to accept that I am as big as you (insert dirty joke here) LOL

Doc, Alexander. Have you guys seen the Miracle Mud advertisment with the 10000 gal Czech zoo reef? Two black tips and a white tip in a living reef tank. Pretty freaking sweet.

Alex check out this months copy of CORAL magazine its just inside the front cover. Gorgeous.

90 gallon sump. Smartass.

I just took a few pics and I am waiting for the water to clear up for better ones.

OK. I have pics up and ready to post.

This is a pic of the first attempt at aquascaping. I am not a fan of coral placement, but it was a rush job.

The water was really murky for about 4 hours which is why it took so long to get pics up and decent. The corals started opening up a little bit, but not enough to make me proud of the tank.... yet.

This is a closer look at the rock placement. I almost like the rocks, it is the coral I do not like. I think I will add a few more rocks to add hiding places for all the angelfish I will be adding in the future.

Here are pics of the sides of the tank as well, with dirty water:

As a comparison, I took a couple of the tank as it mostly cleared. I am hoping to get it looking better soon. I still need to mess with coral placement. I think I will snag a big fuzzy mushroom rock from the 90 to drop in here. I wanted two arches for the angelfish to swim through. I think arches are cool.

I will leave the tank alone for a day or so and get into it again to mess with corals again. I do also need to add two more powerheads to the sides of the tank to give it more current overall.

I am pleased with how it is coming along. A few more corals and fish and I will be very pleased.

The bottom rock is pinned down by the rocks on top of it. It is not going anywhere. the top rock is much more stable than it looks on the back side. I am positive they are set down well. Squishy was already sitting on the very top arch earlier tonight and it didn't even move. Thanks for the concern though.

The powerstrip where the lights were plugged in was turned off. I flipped the switch and they all came on. YAY! :-)

There is SO MUCH ROOM for the fish to swim. Squishy is amazing in his new home. He is swimming all over the place and not bumping into anything. The angelfish are also turning corners like NASCAR racers and seem to love it. There is plenty of room for new fishies too (YEEEES). They all ate like pigs tonight.

Love the arch. Looks like the shark is a happy camper. You'll have it the way you want it in no time.
