Chris' 36Hex tank

Hey everyone! I am new to the forums and to SW tanks. Now that I finally have a few things in my tanks I figured I would start a tank thread. Its a 36G Hex with about 2" live sand and about 38lbs LR. I have a peppermint shrimp and a cleaner shrimp with a few frags that I purchased. I have a canister filter set up with it for the time being (I know very bad idea) I have a internal protein skimmer on the way, its supposed to arrive here tomorrow.:bounce: Even though the frags are new I feel like they are growing already especially the xenias anyway onto the pictures.

Here is how the tank is set up


Peppermint shrimp


Cleaner shrimp


Mushrooms and some polyps


Chalice (I think)


Green Star Polyps


Hard to see but here are my xenias and zoanthids


I know its not the biggest and best tank but I hope you guys like it!!

Lol, If I was you, I would keep the chalice on a lone rock that is perched against the glass. This way, you can kind of control where the green star polyps go. Otherwise, they are going to go everywhere :p

No I am using the Hydor Slim Skim, I have read up on them and people leave them inside the tank.
