I put a small bag of carbon in and did notice a huge difference in my water quality... Once I am up and stocked, carbon will be part of the filtration.

i do definately notice a difference in water clarity when i use it.

you can get powder or larger pellets. I am a fan of the pellets. They seem to last and clean longer than the powder

I had awhile now to see whats better.Carbon or Chemipure.

Chemipure works so much better.After just a couple of days no foul smell coming from the tank.On the packaging,it says it last from 4-6 months.I hope so because I'll be using it one week on and one week off.

hmm if it remains active for that long it may be a really good thing to try. we will see how this carbon does for me. i may switch
