MIN. AQUARIUM SIZE - 20 US Gal. (76 L)

FOODS AND FEEDING - Small crustaceans vitamin enriched live and frozen brine shrimp, mysid shrimp, prepared foods for herbivores. Known to consume large quantities of algae, Feed min. 2 times a day.


REEF COMPATIBILITY - May nip zoanthids, usually no threat to sessile invertebrates.

CAPTIVE CARE - Can be used as a utility fish, will take in mouthfuls of substrate if fine enough and clean it of food stuffs, will eat some filamentous algae, keep only one per tank unless a proven pair can be obtained. Known to jump out of open top tanks, do not keep with dottybacks, hawkfishes, or sand perches.
