Biffy Finally Gets a Build Thread!

the best part of that was watching biffs fingers get more and more water logged at the pics rolled in.

im kiddin' they look Great biff, did those cats get fur all over your egg crate?

I have four cats and a dog! They get fur on everything!

The white acros look really good under the tank lights -- lots of greens and blues. Everyone seems to be doing fine this morning; they all got fed last night too.

I have more cleaner crew coming in today (shrimps, crabs and starfishes), and the Zomania order coming in tomorrow. Stay posted!

Don't know yet, that's why I asked you about the calcium reactor :). Actually, I only have 3 more SPS frags coming in Friday, then I'm done for a loooooong time. I tested my calcium last night, it was at 450. I'm going to start testing it regularly to see how quickly the corals consume it. Then I'll decide if I can get by just with water changes and dosing, or if I need a calcium reactor.

Awesome frags Biff.
Just wait till they all get used to your tank and start growing,Your calcium will go from 450 to 300 in a week.

yep you will want to get a reactor at some point, especially with those acros, unless of course you like to add calcium and alk buffer all the time.

Do you remember the pic of the old 240, it was 98% acro and we was dosing it 2 times a day.... there is nothing better then an acro tank.

Look! The Tripod Fairy came today! Thanks, Tripod Fairy (aka NewPortRichey). The tripod is awesome. I honestly thought it was going to be a little 6-inch one, but no, this is the REAL DEAL, with a leveler and everything. So cool. You know I'm going to try it out ASAP.

I got my Zomania order in today. The zoa frags haven't opened up yet, so I will have to take pictures of them tomorrow.

But here are the three SPS frags I got:

And man. The ricordeas. These are top-notch. I would recommend this website for ANYONE wanting a nice variety of ricordeas. They have 5, 10, 20 and 50 packs. These look small in the pictures, they ended up spreading out to be quite large once they were in the tank. Much bigger than the usual ricordeas I see at my LFS, at least.
