Biffy Finally Gets a Build Thread!

You know sunburst anthias are even more difficult then tukas?

Still, get some pictures up before they die.

How do you like the threadfins? They so pretty to me.

Congrats and where are the pics?

Yeah, I ordered sunsets, but they got sunbursts instead :( My LFS has had a school of sunbursts in their display tank for a while now, so hopefully these ones will be okay! They are TINY though. Less than an inch long; just babies.

The one threadfin I got was a male. Not to keen on it. Pretty ugly, actually. Maybe he will grow on me.

Threadfins are pretty ugly to you?
They must of lost some color, feed it well and I think they will brighten up.Does yours have a deep purple head fading to lavender, then orange and yellow and a pink tail?

If your successful with the sunburst tell me your secret.Everybody who has tried them on RC has failed.Very shy, timid and hard to get eating anthias.

f&$king expensive? um, no. Kililng three emperor angels in one year plus two majestic angelfish is expensive. $30 a fish ain't too bad from where I sit.

$50? if Bartletts were $50 here, I would agree. They are only $30 so it is easier to manage

-Doc

$80!!!!!!! that is highway robbery! I can see why you avoided them. too bad, they are so pretty

Hey Biffer, Just wondering how your flowerpot is doing. I've had mine for a few months now and just found out I need to be feeding it with the coke bottle trick. How many times per week do you feed yours? Is the sand the absolute best spot for it?

I'm also wondering if you still aren't using any filter socks. I'm considering getting rid of mine. They are a PITA. Does that impact you at all when feeding? I'm assuming the cleaning crew has to be quite extensive, right?

pics would be great. As for flower pots, they do best in the sand bed. feed them three times a week. they really like cyclopeeze

-Doc

I've been feeding my flowerpot twice a week, and no, I don't use any filter socks. I'll have to post pics of the new fish soon -- I haven't been home much lately. Well, at all, really. It's like I'm house sitting for myself. I come home three times a day for 20 minutes at a time to feed and take care of the animals.

Dude...I finally saw that freakin mandarin that I bought like a month ago and seemed to disappear forever after Day 1!

Yep, Mandy the mandarin is alive and well, and must be eating something. I have only seen that damn fish once since I bought her.

Which is better than those stupid anthias. Half of which are missing.
