Biffy Finally Gets a Build Thread!

patience is key in this hobby! remember, nothing good happens fast. take you're time and go slow and everything will pan out for you. aim lots of flow at the algae and limit photoperiod. also, removing excess nutrients will help with algae problems.

....ain't I a little smartass today!

how quickly did you stock?
adding lots of livestock really fast in an immature system will not allow the biological filter to adapt fast enough resulting in a mini-cycle, which will cause algae outbreaks.

Define ''perfect'' please.
Don't forget to use RO/DI water and not tapwater.Tapwater is bad!

So the Chemipure isn't working for you?I hope I didn't buy it for nothing.I finally got my hands on a school of Bartlett's so I will have updates here soon with them and new corals too.Of course thats Reef's 210g. Journal'' under tank showcase threads.

I like the last Pic.
The angle makes the tank look wider.

Biff,
Just siphon out as much of the cyano as you can, then leave the tank dark for 3 or 4 days.

Yote, my friend, I have to disagree. The first pics was stunning. I am voting for dominick all the way. I might be swayed by Biff if she ever posted pics of her full tank. I am excited to see your anthias, Dom. Which species did you get? Oh, sorry Biff, is it rude to chat about other tank threads on yours? Sorry. :bounce:

BTW, Redline listened to me about the chemiclean and I bet his tank is cyano free!!!
