My tank is running 80 degrees and I want 78 degrees.Mine is not cause by the lights but the damn Mag pump.I'm gonna try a couple of those fans too.(Thanks Biff).

Biff's tank build thread:

BTW,my transfer from the 75 will be done this weekend.
Visit ''Reef's 210g. Journal'' for update.:^:

What would LR be without all the extra bullshit that comes along with the fish talk? That's why we all like it here so much, we can BS as much as we want!

Anyways, quit trying to advertise your thread in my thread! That's just wrong, Freak!! STAY ON TOPIC! MY TOPIC! LOL.

Speaking of, I never liked the name goniopora. It sounds too much like an STD or something.

nice hijack attempt reeffreak. maybe post the first 2 pics of your update in here and then say go to your thread for the rest! haha thatll show her to have 49 pages!

I guess you would know!

Good idea Red,everybody visit Biff's thread for Part I and come to mine for Part II.

Rigo, why you want to know step by step?
Hmmmmmmmmm...could it be a big tank you been so secretive about?

Oh no! Aiptasia! Damn live rock. I guess with the good stuff, you've got to take the bad stuff.

No worries! I'll mix up some kalk paste!

Oh, and my cyano has developed a personality. It is now so thick that it is actually lifting chunks of sand off the sandbed... Sigh...

that is some nasty cyano. Ever thought of Chemiclean? might help. I know you are not a fan of adding stuff to your tank unless you really need it. Looking good tho, kiddo.

-Dr Marco :sfish:

Wholy crazy cyano! Looks kinda trippy tho, lol. Question for you all great/powerfull biffmeister:

I've yet to see any spikes in my new 125 gallon. I transferred as much water as I could from my old 72, moved as much sand as possible and all the live rock, of course. Is there a slight chance I could skip a minicycle?

I wish I could see a massive tank like yours inperson. After seeing mine set up, unless you have something to show the scale the pictures just don't do it justice. Love your tank setup BTW. I hope to be as knowledgeable one day as you are.

Pretty soon this build thread is going to need its own forum with sub-forums, haha. Way to go Biff.

BTW, I can't wait to see all the live rock in the tank, as I am sure you can't wait either.

Wow,that is some CRAZY looking cyano.Your tank got me all paranoid,I'm going to pick up some Chemiclean just in case. Thanks Doc.

Newport,it sure is possible that you skip the mini-cycle or it went so fast you missed it.

I'm up at 2:00AM getting the QT ready for the big transfer tomorrow...er today,I mean.Don't forget to visit my thread too. That would be ''Reef's 210g. Journal''......OOOPS!....I did it again!(NO Britney pun intended)

Yeah, I just might have to pick up some Chemiclean tomorrow, LOL! And some peppermint shrimp!

Richey, you can skip a minicycle. I've yet to see any of my levels spike in my tank (ammonia, nitrite and nitrate are still at zero). Just because you don't see your levels spike doesn't mean that you are not going to have to go through the seemingly obligatory algae outbreak two weeks in though! It seems this happens every time someone moves to a new tank, or adds new lights. Both of which I did.

Plus, not having a cleaner crew really sucks and I'm sure is not helping things one bit. I probably have a total of 10 snails in my tank, but A) the place I tried to order my cleaner crew from has been unresponsive so far, and B) I wanted to wait to MAKE SURE that my tank wasn't cycling before I added a cleaner crew.

Oh, and just so you guys don't forget, be sure to visit "Reef's 210g. Journal" when you're done reading this! You won't regret it!

Well,At leats you living up to your President job for the AFT,lol.

If you decide to use chemi-clean,you might want to move your xenias (if you have any) to a QT.The one and only time I ever use that stuff,it killed the only xenia colony I had at the time but didnt bother anything else.
