FOODS AND FEEDING - Should be fed a variety of high quality marine meaty foods. Will also eat other crustaceans.

REEF COMPATIBILITY - No
CAPTIVE CARE - This is an aggressive fish and should be kept with other aggressive fish. If the aquarium is larger than 125 gallons, the Banana wrasse can be kept with a mate. Adult males take on a bluish color; females are yellow. The Banana wrasse is highly territorial and should be added last to minimize harassment of other fish. They prefer a tank with lots of rockwork with lots of hiding places. Wrasses are known jumpers so the aquarium top should be covered.
