Im extremely new to this and have a light on or order alond with a protien skimmer. Should I add more rock I have 28lbs. "dead rock" and 9lbs of live rock with the powerhead directed at the lr? Im not thinking of adding fish for at least another 2 months or so. My parameters are great but i def. dont think my tank has cycled. Does anyone have any input as to what to do next? Im addicted for life:mrgreen:

Throw in a piece of table shrimp to get your cycle going strong and keep testing the water. You're doing great :)

The rule of thumb for live rock is 1-2 lbs per gallon. I you are right on the edge but good. I might add a few more lbs however, because the bacteria living on the rock is your main source of filtration. And in that category more is always better! :mrgreen:

Ive been buying corals at an alarming rate! Ive got around 20 in there when i figure my camera out ill post some up close shots! Does anyone use 3 actinic bulbs and only 1 sunlight? Ive got a 4bulb t5ho and was wondering if a purple would be beneficial or just a waste of money

id say grab the purple, it gives everything that extra little pop. You can run 3 atunics, but i really do think youll enjoy the purple :)
