Whats up LivingReefers..just wanted to share my new addition. Not the best picture quality I know, but its a new camera and I will eventually get it right. Anyway, I got a green mandarin today and he loving his new home..lots of coepods to chow on and he already got the once over from Jacques the cleaner shrimp..more pictures to come, enjoy..

Just make sure he's eating frozen too. Otherwise he'll decimate your pod population in a day or two and then starve to death....But he's such a cutie! Good luck.

Thank you for the compliments, definitely a cute fish and fun to watch...Samhain, should I be looking at any brand in particular or just regular frozen mysis and brine shrimp? I currently use PE mysis shrimp 4oz cubes. Is there a way I can seed my refugium to have a copepod explosion? Im worried that even though I have a good population now like you said before, I know what these fish can do to a large copepod community.

Try the frozen mysis, and get some fish roe, too :D Congrats on the new addition!

Cute fish! I love watching mine. He seems fat and happy. I supplement with ArcticPods about once a week but I'm sure he's finding plenty to eat.

Put some in both....they end up in the main tank eventually anyway. At least in the fuge, they can safely multiply some more.
