I'd stay away from the kole tang because I've heard of them being real jerks.

Every fish has the possibility of being a jerk, including peaceful fish. A lot of it depends on their individual personality.

That list looks good, but I do think yellow tangs can be in a smaller tank, while they are small. The other ones, BL1 mentioned. So he was right on the mark!

Probably not -- they will grow, but they won't grow too fast. You will likely have a few years.

:grumble: What about a kole tang? It says on liveaquaria that kole tangs have a minimum tank size of 70 gallons.

I guess nothing is 100% absolute. I mean this sincerely. Tank volume, tank length, water flow, clarity, fish density... and other variables all go into the equation. I gotta get me a bigger tank! Maybe a bigger house! 240g, whew! :D

Thats probably because I used that list from RC when I made my suggestions ;)
