What could it be?

My 10 gal tank is riddled with these worm things. They came in a live rock I purchased at my lfs. Ay first there were only about 4 or 5 individuals that I could count. Now there are dozens, in the rock they came in and on the sand. They havnt moved to the other rocks though. It doesn't really bother me, I think its kind of interesting watching the tiny forest of tentacles waving around the water trying to catch food. I would just like to know what they are so I have a name for when I get asked.

Sounds like spaghetti worms...

Yea, that's what I've been told. I did little research but the worm thing I have looks different than all the spaghetti worm pictures I've seen. The ones in my tank don't have as many tentacles and have alot longer bodies than in the pictures I've seen.

Those are spaghetti worms. They are reef safe. There are many species of spaghetti worms, so yours may be a little bit different than others, but they are spaghetti worms for sure.
