Water temp.....

I have a 180 gal and I cant get the water temp down. It holds steady between 82 and 84 degrees. Is this a dangerous level?

I try and keep my temp at 77-80 but I think most fish can stand temps up to 86 but I'm not sure on that. Do you have a glass top, what's the room temp, is your sump open?

As long as the temp stays consistent at that temp, it's ok. The average temp of some ocean coral reefs are around 82*. Consistency is the key.
