What alk. kit do you have? If its an API kit,count the drop to the color change.The number of drops equals DKH which should be somewhere between 8 and 12.
KH is general hardness,which is sky high in saltwater to begin with.

i lost the little chart thingy but it was about nine drops.. i looked up the chart online and thats what it gave me... but it was 8 or 9 drops

You still have Mg to test but it is sounding like its something else. Do you dose any chemicals or is it just water changes?

so far this problem has stopped and i my coraline has begun to grow back over some of the grey spots even... thank god!
