vodka dosing a tank

A very good "how to" article, yet for me, it still does not address many questions concerning the negative aspects and only touches upon them with "its thought" and "not yet understood" and totaly ignores the fact that corals also have a symbiotic relationship with bacteria, which if spurred to greater population levels can and does cause disease. That and again, such a thing is geared towards trying to fix the inherant problems of trying to keep a "reef" within a single tank, which for the most part ends up being a coral display tank and not an actual ecosystem, but hey, to each his own I guess as I only wish to make others think outside of the touted benefits and think of reefs as being a great deal more than some corals crowded onto some rocks. Such are the dangers of spending years on a real reef, you just can't help but to pretty much freak out on the diversity of life present and begin to see far beyond the corals and wonder at the complexity of it all.
