+1 little_fish and amber. If you try the fan and it doesn't work, you're only out a couple bucks. If it does work, you've saved yourself several hundred.

I am a fan of the fan trick also but in this case I am not to sure it will help.. at 35 degrees celcius (95 farenheit) in the house the fan may not be enough to cool the tank down..

It is, that is how hot my house gets. I dont have AC either.
