I have a 55g reef tank that has been running for about 9 months. It has a few spots of GHA and cyano bacteria.
I'm planning on:
(1) cleaning the live rock with a toothbrush in some of the old tank water then rinsing in new saltwater
(2) purchasing new live sand for the 75g
(3) dipping my corals in Reef Dip Coral Disinfectant
(4) cleaning all equipment with vinegar
(5) adding fresh saltwater and chaeto to fuge
(6) adding a bacterial supplement to new saltwater
Once this is all done I will transfer everything (including livestock) over to the 75g with fresh saltwater.
Is there anything else I can/should do to prevent a cycle? I'm very excited about upgrading to a larger tank but very nervous at the same time. I would hate to lose any of my corals, fish or CUC. Any comments or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
